Course Introduction
Welcome to TEFL.Guide. Our aim is to not only help you gain your TEFL qualification so you can apply and work abroad as an English Teacher, but also to make sure you are prepared to actually teach abroad.
More often that not, teachers will take an online TEFL course, head to their a new country and be completely overwhelmed with how to teach, how to plan a lesson, how to assess students so they can make progress with their English language. We will move through each element of teaching abroad, so by module 11, you are ready to apply for a job and start your new life abroad.
As you work through each module, you will find learning tasks to engage with. These are here to help you reflect and think about teaching; the more you engage with the activity, the more you will learn and take away from this course.
At the end of each module, there will be a short assessment. Most of these will be multiple choice questions but some may require you to prepare a lesson plan. Your tutor will mark these written assignments and provide feedback to make sure you are fully prepared for the next step in your teaching journey.
Remember, your tutor is always available for support, should you have any problems or uncertainties whilst you move through this course.
